ITEN's mission is to provide innovative early stage technology companies with important tools and resources to help them create a successful venture. Attributes of a successful entrepreneur include a willingness to listen and learn from those who have more experience, and the drive to make things happen. ITEN's mentors have the expertise to help guide you through challenges, and this website gives you the opportunity to take advantage of that support as well as other benefits, but you must be active. Seek out mentors who have the knowledge you need. Participate in ITEN's other programs. Believe in your enterprise and don't let yourself become discouraged by the challenges that will inevitably arise.   Have patience and perseverance.

These are difficult times for all businesses, but keep in mind what Charles Darwin said, "It's not the strongest of the species that survives, but the ones best able to adapt to changing circumstances."

Ready to get started?   Here you go:

• Register on the website.
• Apply as a Start-Up.
• Your application will be reviewed.  You will be invited to meet with the Director, who will explain the expectations and requirements of joining the network, and if you are accepted into the program, we will activate your access to the restricted areas of the site.
• After acceptance, the next step will be to fill out your User Profile and your Company Profile so when you request mentors, they will be able to see what your company is doing.   These profiles also provide ITEN with the data we need to keep our sponsors updated about progress within the Network.
• You will attend an orientation meeting that will go into more detail about how ITEN will engage with your company.  The following resources and services, among others, will be explained: 
• Post Job Opportunites to expand your team or find the right person to help your company to the next level.  Keep us all up to speed on your progress by posting your Company News.
• Check out Links for lots of useful information on building your company and raising money.
• Learn about our Mentoring program and then use the Mentor Match feature to find the right mentor for your current needs.  Connect with one or more mentors and take advantage of their expertise.
• The Mock Angel Training Program prepares you for investor presentations.  Our Mock Angel Mentors are an incredible group who provide great guidance on strengthening your presentation.   Use this intensive program before going out to raise money; it really helps!
• The Beta Program prepares start-ups for presentations to larger companies and also often helps make important referrals to potential early-adopting customers.   If you're business plan involves B2B sales, this is a great program for you.
• Attend as many of our Events as possible.
• Keep your Company Profile up to date.
