Global Communications 2.0

March 30, 2010  -  Global Communications 2.0-Leveraging Social Media - There is more to the social media hype than Facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc. There are emerging business models, revenue streams and cost cutting techniques that can result from effectively tapping social media. Please join us for this thought provoking panel discussion on the role of social media in your global communication mix. You will also get an opportunity to exchange ideas and thoughts on social media with attendees in form of "Speed Table Networking".  Held at Saint Louis University, John Cook School of Business, 3:45 to 6 pm.

$25 admission.  Special: $15 for the ITEN Community if you register here.   Parking vouchers for the SLU garage on Laclede will be provided at the event.

Gateway To Innovation/G2I

April 20, 2010, Chase Park Plaza - The Gateway to Innovation Conference: A great annual technology conference in St. Louis, sponsored by ITEN, the IT Coalition, Innovate St. Louis, and many others. Early registration available until March 1.  ITEN is a producer of the G2I Showcase, held concurrently with the Conference, and featuring selected local early-stage technology ventures.   To apply for selection to the Showcase, your application must be submitted before the March 5 deadline.

Start Up Connection/Spring 2010

April 29, 2010 The Start up Connection - The premier networking event for early-stage tech companies to meet up with regional talent.  This time the event will be held at Cortex in the City, and exhibitor space will be at a premium.  Companies wishing to participate will be accepted on a first come basis, so don't delay.   Historically, there have been over 150 people attending, and this one may break the record.   Free for all: companies and opportunity seekers, but advanced registration is required.  Companies wanting a space in the event need to register separately from attendees.

Strange Loop Conference

October 14-15, 2010 - Strange Loop Conference will return after its very successful 2009 event, specifically targeted at developers.  Watch this space for details as they become available.   For now, save the dates!

Start-Up Weekend

This event will be held later in the year.   Check back for updates - Think you want to start a tech company but a little hesitant to take the leap?  The Startup Weekend is a great way to get started: a 54-hour make-a-startup marathon led by internationally-recognized facilitators. Participants pitch their ideas Friday night and then form teams around the most interesting. By Sunday night most will have working prototypes, basic business plans, and even web sites and marketing material. One or two may become the seeds that grow into the next big deals.  This is the first time Start Up Weekend is being offered in St. Louis.  Begins Friday evening and goes all day Saturday and Sunday.  (A great follow-up to the Innovation Camp!)  Held at Lindenwood University's campus in Florissant; sponsored by ITEN and others.
